Here are some samples of my portrait work. For commercial portraiture I try to capture the individual character of the subject while portraying their commercial context.
Here are of samples of my product/still life photography. My philosophy on this genre is while being creative is important attention to detail is more so. Both in product and still life photography more often than not you are dealing with a static subject where lack of attention detail will be more apparent.
I find interiors to be one of the most challenging and rewarding genres. One has to deal with multiple light sources, reflective objects, styling, and composition. I strive to make my interior work look natural and clean. I also like to capture a feel for the lighting and keep the image perspective correct.
Exteriors are all about balancing the light and being there at the right time with the right weather. The time window is often counted in minutes. Two of my favorite tools for photographing exteriors is a compass and a good weather app. I try to make my exteriors dramatic while keeping it "real".
Aerial photography is all about clear weather, a good UV/polarizing filter and a crazy pilot. Too be honest I couldn't do this work without a pilot who can make the plane do all kinds of things to get me in the right place at the right angle. In addition working knowledge of Google earth and a good GPS helps. I have also put some shots of planes in this section.
This gallery is a hodgepodge of mostly my personal work to let you know a little about me and how I like to photograph
